Building Bridges for Neurodiverse Education
Around 1.2 billion neurodiverse people exist globally, with 70-100 million children in India having neurodivergent needs. Around 5-15% of school-going children have specific learning disabilities. The 0-8 years are crucial for detecting and providing early intervention for neurodivergent children. Collaboration among professionals, including doctors, teachers, therapists, special educators, and school administrators, is essential for identifying and providing the right intervention. However, collaboration among these actors is often unstructured, leading to the need for a technology platform like Connec2ED to address these challenges. This platform could help address the developmental and educational needs of neurodivergent children.
Our Story
The Gartner report highlights the importance of neurodiversity in strategic predictions for 2024 and beyond. While organizational acceptance for neurodivergent individuals is increasing, the root problems, particularly in the childhood stage, still need attention. In India, the mainstream school system struggles to identify, accept, intervene, and accommodate children with neurodivergent needs. The founder of Connec2ED, an early childhood counsellor and technologist, believes that addressing the neurodivergent needs of the 10-15% population at the early stages of their childhood could unlock potential. Connec2ED aims to create a platform that leverages technology to bring people together to unlock the potential of the child, focusing on child-centered goals.Our Services
